History of the Estate

Serednikovo The Serednikovo Estate is a historical site of the 18th century, located in the Moscow region. It was built in 1775 by state councilor Vsevolod Alekseevich. In 1825, Serednikovo was bought by Dmitry Alekseevich Stolypin, the brother of Lermontov's grandmother. From 1829 to 1831, little Mikhail Lermontov spent his summers here. In 1869, the Estate was sold to honorary citizen Ivan Grigorievich Firsanov. The building of the estate combines elements of Russian baroque and classicism. During the Soviet Union, the estate was nationalized and used for various purposes. In the 1990s, restoration work was carried out, and now the Serednikovo Estate is open to visitors and is a popular cultural heritage site.
